The Chicago Blackhawks (30-17-5) travel to Glendale for tonight’s matchup at 8:00 pm CST (CSN-CH) against the Arizona (16-27-6). Each team clearly is headed in a different direction, and for the Hawks specifically, tonight is a must-win game. The Blackhawks come into tonight’s contest having lost their last three games, all of which they had a legitimate chance to emerge victorious. Hopefully a matchup against the struggling ‘Yotes is exactly what the doctor ordered for Chicago. Here are your expected lines:

Chicago

Schmaltz-Toews-Panik

Panarin-Anisimov-Kane

Rasmussen-Kruger-Hossa

Hartman-Kero-Desjardins

Keith-Hjalmarsson

Forsling-Seabrook

Campbell-van Riemsdyk

Corey Crawford (18-12-3, .918 SV%, 2.55 GAA)

Arizona

Rieder-Hanzal-Vrbata

Perlini-Dvorak-Doan

McGinn-Burmistrov-Jooris

Crouse-Martinook-White

Ekman-Larsson-Schenn

Goligoski-Stone

Chychrun-Murphy

Mike Smith (11-14-5, .917 SV%, 2.87 GAA)

Heads Up:  Look for the Blackhawks to again attempt to respond to recent poor play by coming out of the gates with plenty of energy. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chicago reach double-digit shot totals more than 6-8 minutes into the game. Look for them to put plenty of pressure on Mike Smith early on, and get their well-traveled fans making noise. Arizona doesn’t stand a chance if the Blackhawks play their game for 60 minutes tonight. They need to get back on track if they want to make any noise come playoff time. That’s on you, leaders of this team. Your move.

Let’s Go Hawks
