The Chicago Blackhawks seek their fifth-straight win tonight at Rogers Place in Edmonton at 9:00 pm CST. Coming off of an impressive 5-2 win last night in Winnipeg, Chicago (34-17-5) is playing its best hockey of the season right now. Edmonton (29-18-8) had been on a 7-0-1 run up until the all-star break, enjoyed their weekend off, and proceeded to lose three of their next four contests afterwards before their league-mandated bye-week. Both teams remain in the hunt for the top spot in their respective divisions. Let’s check out the lineups:

Chicago

Schmaltz-Toews-Panik

Panarin-Anisimov-Kane

Rasmussen-Kruger-Hossa

Hartman-Kero-Hinostroza

Keith-Hjalmarsson

Kempny-Seabrook

Campbell-van Riemsdyk

Scott Darling (12-5-2, .925 SV%, 2.31 GAA)

Edmonton

Maroon-McDavid-Draisaitl

Lucic-(Nugent-Hopkins)-Eberle

Pouliot-Caggiula-Slepyshev

Hendricks-Letestu-Kassian

Klefbom-Larsson

Sekera-Reinhart

Davidson-Gryba

Cam Talbot (27-15-7, .921 SV%, 2.32 GAA)

Look for Oilers’ captain Connor McDavid to see plenty of Duncan Keith and Niklas Hjalmarsson tonight. McDavid is currently tied for the league lead in points with 60 on the year. Look for the Blackhawks’ defense to attempt to suffocate him and take away as much of his playmaking space as possible.

Edmonton took the last game against Chicago, winning 5-0 on what was considered and off-night for goaltender Corey Crawford. The Blackhawks hope to continue their recent string of success tonight in what should be a game full of offense.

Let’s Go Hawks.
