Key Plays

Wilson wakes up the offense in ninth to tie the game at 3.

Cubs then lose in bottom of the ninth with this walkoff:

Player of the Game: Wilson. He took Oh deep for the second time in his career. His passion for this team is second to none. I can’t wait to see him play a full season with the team because he will light. It. up. Schwarber wins runner-up as he was the only other one to get more than one hit. He looked solid and the Maddon looks like a genius for putting a hefty guy in the leadoff spot.

Favorite Moment of the game: Carl Edwards Jr. escapes a bases loaded jam in the sixth and his massive fist pump. Passion is what makes the Cubs so fun to watch. You have 25 guys who want to be the one to make a play.

“Jason Heyward 2016” Player of the Game: This section of our recap will go over who we thought really stunk it up. Heyward could have won the inaugural award but the winner is Kris Bryant. The former MVP had a bad start. He had 3 strikeouts and a fly out with bases loaded in the top of the 8th.
